Nelson Woolnough was an Approved Immigrant on the Mamilus sailing from Tilbury, London, 22/10/1926. He was sponsored by his Aunt Susannah Lillistone nee Woolnough, wife of Albert Lillistone, of Red Hill, Brisbane. She was apparently the sister of Alfred Manly Woolnough, his father. His Aunt Susannah also had 2 sons named Nelson - one died in infancy, the other died in the years of WW2.

Departed Plymouth on the 15th July, 1880, on the ship 'Dunbar Castle', arrived Brisbane 26th Oct, 1880. According to the ship's records, he was 27 years old, and travelled with his wife, Mary Ann, who was also 27 years old, no children. Ship's records indicate that he was a Mason. The ship's master was G Ismay. Primary Souce QSA Reg 3p404. Dr Hickling was the Superintendant, Mrs Gaudin was the Matron. Parents names obtained from death certificate and personal letters he received from them. William later married Eliza (Tanna)Hill.
